Cappadocia, the “Land of Beautiful Horses,” is preparing to share the excitement of the Chinese Year of the Horse Festival with its guests from February 14–20. As the festive spirit spreads across the region, streets, bazaars, and iconic sites adorned with Year of the Fire Horse motifs bring a unique new vibrancy to its unique atmosphere. Cappadocia is ready to welcome its Chinese guests with unforgettable moments and truly memorable experiences!

The Year of the Fire Horse Festival, organized by the Cappadocia Site Management Authority, has officially commenced, drawing remarkable public interest and unfolding in an atmosphere of vibrant enthusiasm. Protocol members and invited guests gathered at the opening ceremony, where dance performances, mapping and drone shows added color and excitement to the first day of the festival. Set against the unique landscape of Cappadocia, the event once again underscored the importance of strengthening Turkish–Chinese friendship and cultural cooperation.

The Cappadocia Chinese Year of the Fire Horse Festival welcomed its Chinese guests on its second day, presenting an extensive and meticulously curated program across multiple venues. Festivities continue throughout the day at the Göreme Festival Area, Göreme Moonlight Horse Ranch, the renowned ceramic workshops of Avanos, as well as in Ürgüp and Ortahisar. Chinese visitors are enjoying a rich array of carefully designed experiences — from Chinese-themed horseback rides through the valleys and museum visits to art exhibitions and concerts — adding elegance and vibrancy to the celebrations.
